Aamir Liaquat Husain passes away in Karachi

Dr. Aamir Liaquat Husain, 49, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA and TV host, was discovered dead on Thursday at his Karachi home.

He was discovered unconscious at his home and taken to Aga Khan University Hospital. The politician’s post-mortem examination will take place at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

In 2018, Aamir Liaquat was elected to the National Assembly from NA-245 Karachi-I East-IV. In the year 1972, he was born in Karachi.

Aamir Liaquat’s death came just days after he announced his intention to leave Pakistan. He took the decision when Daniya Shah, his third wife, released her infamous video.

Before becoming a minister in Pervez Musharraf’s government, Aamirn Liaquat rose to prominence with his Geo News chat show Aalim Online.

He ran for the PTI in the 2018 election and afterwards left the party after a no-confidence resolution was filed against former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Aamir Liaquat was recognized three times on the list of the world’s 500 most prominent Muslims and was also on the list of Pakistan’s 100 most popular celebrities. He is known for his controversial yet popular TV series.
