Here is a list of the best-selling cars in Pakistan in April 2022. The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has released their April 2022 monthly sales figures. According to the figures, the auto industry sold 22,370 vehicles in the previous month. The list of best-selling cars in Pakistan is given based on the number of units sold.
This is a significant decrease from the 27,131 sales in March, indicating an 18% decrease in vehicle sales. The reason of the decrease in the political and financial instability in the country.
Suzuki Alto as most of us could expect is leading the list of best-selling cars in Pakistan. Affordability and durability in the entry-level market makes Suzuki Alto top the list of best-selling automobiles in Pakistan in April 2022. The Suzuki Alto sold 5,009 units in April, compared to 9,814 units in March.
Suzuki Cultus is second in the list of best-selling cars in Pakistan. Suzuki sold 1,745 units in April, up from just 306 units in March. Suzuki Cultus starts at Rs. 2,330,000 and goes all the way up to Rs. 2,762,000 for the highest variant in Pakistan.
Suzuki Wagon R
Suzuki Wagon R is third in the list of top ten best-selling cars in April in Pakistan. According to the figures, the vehicle sold 1,823 units in April. Suzuki Wagon R prices in Pakistan start at Rs. 2,084,000 and go up to Rs. 2,399,000 for the top-of-the-line model.
The Suzuki Bolan also had a significant reduction in sales in April compared to March, with only 860 units sold vs 1,295 the previous month. This indicates that total Suzuki Bolan sales decreased by 13% in April compared to March.Suzuki Bolan’s base model costs Rs. 1,315,000 in Pakistan, while the top-of-the-line variant costs Rs. 1,415,000.
In April 2022, the newly introduced Suzuki Swift 4th Generation sold 2,273 units, placing it fifth on the list of best-selling cars in Pakistan. Suzuki Swift prices in Pakistan start at Rs. 2,774,000, with the top-of-the-line model costing Rs. 3,298,000.
Toyota Corolla/ Yaris
The Toyota Corolla and Toyota Yaris are without a doubt the best-selling Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) automobiles, with 4,117 units sold in April. The Toyota Yaris starts at Rs. 3,039,000 and goes all the way up to Rs. 3,659,000 in Pakistan, while the Toyota Corolla starts at Rs. 3,909,000 and goes all the way up to Rs. 4,899,000.
Toyota Fortuner / Hilux
Toyota sold 1658 units of Toyota Fortuner/ Hilux in April, compared to 1,673 units in March which is only 1% drop in sales. Toyota Fortuner prices in Pakistan start at Rs. 9,959,000 for the base model and go up to Rs. 12,679,000 for the top-of-the-line model. In Pakistan, the Toyota Hilux starts at Rs. 7,359,000 for the base model and goes up to Rs. 9,729,000 for the top-of-the-line model.
Honda Civic/ City
In April Honda was able to sell 2,265 units of both of Honda Civic and Honda City in Pakistan, compared to 3,278 units in March, a 31 percent decrease in overall sales.
In Pakistan, the Honda City starts at Rs. 3,264,000 for the base model and goes up to Rs. 3,899,000 for the top-of-the-line model. Meanwhile, the base model of the Honda Civic costs Rs. 5,549,000 in Pakistan, while the top-of-the-line model costs Rs. 6,649,000.
The Honda BR-V sold 364 units in April with 2% decrease in overall sales compared to March 2022. Only one type of the Honda BR-V is available in Pakistan, and it costs Rs. 4,249,000. It is also in the list of best-selling cars in Pakistan.
The Hyundai Tucson was ranked tenth in the list of ten best-selling cars in Pakistan. According to the data, the car was able to sell 553 units in April, compared to 576 units in March, indicating a 4% decrease in overall sales. The Hyundai Tucson is priced at Rs. 5,799,000 for the base model and Rs. 6,299,000 for the top-of-the-line variant in Pakistan.
