At the 6th Business Excellence Awards 2022, the South Asian Partnership Summit (SAPS) presented Prof. Dr. Sumaira Rehman, Rector of Superior University Lahore, Pakistan, with the South Asia’s Top 100 Power Women Award.
The honor is given in appreciation of “her tireless efforts to have a lasting socioeconomic impact by providing a revolutionary entrepreneurial approach to education and promotion of self-sufficient and progressive communities.”
The awards take into account thousands of applicants and organizations from the eight representative countries to choose the best and most credible applicant who has the qualifications for successful leadership and a track record of making real changes in the world.
At a ceremony held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka, Bangladesh, SAPS also presented Superior University with the Emerging Educational Institute of the Year Award.
Dr. Sumaira, who holds a PhD in Women Entrepreneurship from Middlesex University in the UK, has had a significant impact on changing mindsets, seizing chances, and offering workable solutions by empowering and enabling youngsters.
In keeping with her commitment to making a socioeconomic effect, Dr. Sumaira also introduced Superior’s core programs, including the Entrepreneurship Teaching and Training Program (ETTP), Social Entrepreneurship Program (SEP), and the distinctive 3U1M Program.
Another of her initiatives, the yearly Rectors’ Conference, aims to open up prospects for finding realistic creative solutions to the threats and difficulties now facing Pakistan’s higher education industry.
The Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP) and Superior Entrepreneurial Expo, which was recently conducted, gave Pakistani youth a forum on which to present their creative ideas and move the country closer to an entrepreneurial revolution.
According to the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2022, Superior University rose to the top spot among private universities in Pakistan earlier in April.
