Metro Bus Service from Peshawar Mor to Islamabad Airport to be inaugurated on March 23

The Metro Bus Service from Peshawar Mor to the New Islamabad International Airport will be inaugurated On March 23 2022.

The Metro Bus route is under construction from Peshawar Mor, Islamabad to the New Islamabad International Airport.

The chosen pick-up place for the Metro Bus will be the Peshawar Mor Central Station. In March of last year, the National Highway Authority (NHA) built a 27-kilometer route from Peshawar Mor to the New Islamabad Airport for this purpose. A total of Rs16 billion was spent on the project.

In addition, a “Capital Mass Transit Authority” will be established to oversee bus management and service. The authority will be established by an act of parliament, and it will have complete power over the Capital Development Authority (CDA). It will take care of the management and services of the Metro Bus and the overall process.

A shuttle Metro bus service will run from three different sites throughout Islamabad to this central stop at the commencement of the route. This route will be served by 30 metro buses and will run daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. This time frame is expected to grow as a result of the new route. This route would have a price of Rs30 per passenger.

Overall, the service will enable passengers, citizens, and employees commuting from Islamabad to New Islamabad Airport with affordable and convenient transportation in the Metro Bus. It will also address severe issues of public transportation overcrowding and overcharging along this route.
