The Pakistan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has received 1.2 million visitors in its five and half months as it has entered its last week. The total visitors may well cross the 1.5 million mark in its remarkable six months that ends on 31st of March.
An official announcement said that over this time period, the pavilion has welcomed thousands of visitors from the UAE and foreign nationals, and many Pakistanis who have travelled to visit the mega event in the last six months.
The Pakistan Pavilion, with over one million visitors, already welcomed another two hundred thousand visitors in the last fifteen days alone.
“After a successful five months at Expo 2020, we are happy to celebrate our one million visitors milestone crossed last week,” the Pavilion’s official Instagram handle announced on March 1.
“Located in the heart of Opportunity District, the pavilion’s theme aims at informing, inspiring, and igniting more conversations about the country’s ‘Hidden Treasures.’ The pavilion has been attracting thousands of people from various nationalities daily is promoting the country’s tolerant, inclusive and progressive image by featuring the past, present, and future. It also highlights the beautiful landscapes, tourism, and trade & investment opportunities,” it said.
Since its opening, the Pakistan Pavilion has kept the momentum at the Expo 2020 in being an engaging, enlightening, and enjoyable experience for visitors and has been amongst the most visited pavilions at the expo.
The pavilion has hosted over 300 events so far, and the grand finale is on March 23, in celebration of Pakistan’s National Day.
Before you bid adieu to the remarkable six months, Pakistan Pavilion will celebrate National Day with a mega show at the Jubilee Stage in the evening. Through the diverse offerings of the land, from the beautiful melodies to the colourful threads and the rich art and culture, Pakistan will be celebrated as the Land of Colours in this concert.
The event will also reveal The Hidden Treasures of Pakistan through a short documentary, shot especially for this occasion, followed by a lineup of talented artists, closing with a showcase of colourful threads of the regions.
