PIA blacklisted passenger for faking heart attack

A passenger on PIA flight PK-783 to Toronto had show symptoms of cardiac arrest (Heart Attack) in mid-flight, the plane was diverted for medical reasons.

According to local media reports, a traveler was on his way to Canada from the country’s largest city Karachi when he complained of chest pain. The plane was diverted back to the city in emergency.

The plane then landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, where he was met by ambulances from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and a medical team. The issue was investigated and the passenger’s health condition was monitored.

Meanwhile, the national flag carrier was skeptical about the heart attack as doctors did not confirm any sign of cardiac arrest. All reports and scans of the 33-year-old person were reportedly normal. According to reports that Heart attach was faked and the medical investigation did not show any symptoms/ impacts of Heart problem.

Later, PIA spokesman said the passenger was blacklisted by PIA incurred losses of Rs12.5 million after it had to de-fuel the plane and had to land with only 100 tonnes in the fuel tank, per reports. The Passenger will not be allowed to use PIA for faking the heart attack in future.
