
During his brief visit to the Punjab capital, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the ‘Lahore Technopolis’ Special Technology Zone.
According to local media reports, the special technology zone was created under the Lahore Knowledge Park Company, which was attracting significant investment in order to boost the country’s exports in the area.

The initiative was built by the Lahore Knowledge Park Company, which invested heavily to boost the city’s technology export potential. Licences to work in the technology zone will be awarded to twelve companies.
The ceremony also marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for a $300 million investment in the creation of three more technology zones across the country.
During his visit to Lahore, the premier will also preside over a number of meetings. He will open the Government College University New Campus and the Abdul Hassan Ash Shadhili Sufism Science and Technology Research Center.
