SMEDA to conduct training programme for SMEs on ‘selling on Amazon from Pakistan’

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) has planned to organize a day training programme on “selling on Amazon from Pakistan” on March 30.

The session is part of series of training programmes across the country to be conducted by SMEDA in collaboration with leading experts from the e-commerce sector and related institutions for profitable business growth.

To enhance awareness of Amazon’s procedures and requirements among the SMEs, the authority initiated National Business Development Programme (NBDP) which will be organizing the session.

The training programme will extend non-financial advisory services to small and medium businesses by providing information about introduction to Amazon, how to invest in Amazon, how to start Amazon in Pakistan, freelancing and Amazon virtual assistant, introduction to private label, categories in Amazon, inclusion of Pakistan in Amazon seller list, how to create seller account, benefits of Amazon business, comparison of Amazon with other portals.

The workshop will also highlight the reason why Amazon was blocked in Pakistan till last year, payment options in Amazon, target market and online presence, sustainability in Amazon business, recommendations, conclusion, stock and inventory management and customer support.

Last year in June, Smeda conducted the first training programme of the series in the form of a webinar and over 600 SMEs would participated in it.

The session was attended by small business owners and their staff, emerging and existing entrepreneurs, professionals and practitioners in e-commerce, IT etc, all those desirous of improving knowledge on the subject and transforming businesses to e-commerce.

In the session, SMEs were trained to improve the quality and packaging of their products as per the standards set by Amazon.
