SQUAD Mobility intends to launch compact solar electric mini cars. The car have rooftop solar panels to increase their range. The company’s stated purpose is to provide safe and convenient urban mobility.

The company intends to start selling the cars in Europe before expanding to the United States. Production will of Squad Solar cars will start in the fourth quarter of 2022. The car will be available for 6250 Euros which is equivalent to around Rs. 1.3 million in Pakistan (if and when it is available in Pakistan).

Solar Electric Car Specifications

The solar electric car is 6.7 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 5 feet tall. Its tiny size makes city navigation and parking simple. According to the firm, three cars can fit easily in a single parking place. The solar electric car has a top speed of 28 miles per hour.

The SQUAD Solar City electric Car has enough room for two tall people and their belongings, with a total load capacity of 68 L. The side doors are removable for increased airflow on warm days, and the large windows provide a panoramic perspective. Dashboard storage for your backpack or laptop, cup holders, a phone holder, and a USB charger are also included.

Two 2 kW rear in-wheel motors (4 kW total) drive the SQUAD, which are fueled by four swappable 1.6 kWh lithium-ion battery packs. As a result, the small SEV can travel 100 kilometers (62 miles) on all four batteries and reach a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour (28 mph).

The solar electric car tires serve as protection bumpers. Sensors allow for remote diagnosis of operational conditions, charge levels, tire pressure, and other characteristics. The Squad will be equipped with cameras to monitor the solar electric car’s condition and location.
