According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), truck production increased by 77.60 percent during the months under review, rising from 1,326 units to 2,355 units.
During the first five months of the current financial year 2021-22, the country’s agricultural tractor production increased by 15.07 percent to 22,034 units, compared to 19,147 units in the same months last year.
Pickup production increased by 68.66 percent to 11,734 units in July-November 2021, compared to 6,957 units in the same months last year, while LCV, van, and Jeep production increased by 80.01 percent to 5,854 units in July-November 2021, compared to 3,252 units in the same months last year.
Meanwhile, passenger car manufacturing increased by 68.39 percent during the period under review, rising to 85,083 units from 50,527 units in July-November 2020-21, according to the data.
Motorcycle and three-wheeler output in the country fell to 797,245 units in July-November 2021 from 790,822 units in July-November 2020, a nominal gain of 0.81 percent, according to the report.
